Does anyone remember those animated public information films from the late 60s early 70s on dental hygiene? It involved a gang of little monsters armed with picks and hammers chipping away at your enamel as you slept if you didn't brush your teeth before you went to bed.
They scared the pants off me as a child, but forty years later no matter how long the evening has been I couldn't contemplate going to bed without having cleaned my teeth.
It may have been a toothpaste commercial, but I think it was a public information thing.
Does anyone know of an online archive site where I can view this?
I think some of the Central Office of Information (COI) Public Information Fillers can be viewed on the British Film Institute (BFI) web site. I Don't think the one you descibe is there. It does ring a bell, but I can't be sure if it is a Public Information film or commercial either...

I remember them - I used the same slogan to say to my children when they were cleaning their teeth *up and down, up and down, till they're clean and sparkling*
