Saturday. A clear sky this morning. 11°C, almost springlike! The farmers market for me this morning then! No 6 Nations today, so I might have lunch out.
Tiggy III still asleep, but he has moved a bit. He'll be waking up soon, so I must make sure I've got some pancetta in.
Ever eaten at the Peat Inn, minty...1* Michelin - not cheap but has always been good - the other that is back and storming Trip Adviser is the Grange just outside St A and lovely views...used to have 3 bedrooms but I don't think they are doing accommodation now.
Just an update on the shiny, shiny (sorry Minty) kitchen - which should be completely finished early next week. Now all I need to do is rummage through the house to find the recipe book on how to make beans on toast. :-)
Morning all. What a lovely day. I have fresh coffee, a cinnamon swirl, good company and nice background music. What more could you want on a Saturday morning?
Architect came yesterday and his ideas were fantastic. We should have all the plans drawn up within the coming fortnight. Exciting!
morning CG xx sounds very exciting, a great start to your new home and life together.... will all come together eventually... worth the upheaval ..and cost to get things just so...
Indeed, Minty. We were undecided re kitchen extension whether to go for flat roof with lantern or pitched roof with velux windows. The Architect pointed out the merits and demerits of both, particularly with a south-facing garden like ours.
Yes, that's what we're going with. It also makes the room look larger and distributes the light all around the room. Lanterns look striking but the back of the room wouldn't get the light.
I spent hours going through Wayfair last night until I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. I've seen some beautiful lighting.
