6d Funny story flailing a baton after (5,3,2,1,4)
Answer = THREE MEN IN A BOAT
The last six letters are an anagram of "a baton" (and the indicator is "flailing").........but I cannot see the rest of the wordplay.
I think part of the clue is missing and it should read ...."flailing a baton after + wordplay to give "three men i"
Comments please!

11a Dominant Malagasies hard on drifters denied grants (4)
HO _ A

5d Neckline feature, dandy buttonhole? (10)
RO _ L _ OL _ AR
Presumably Rollcollar, which I have never heard of, but collar = buttonhole, so does "roll = dandy"?
9d A - -, Asian, modifies appearance of Indian Sahiba (6)
BIND _ I
Presumably Bindhi(forehead decoration of Hindu women)....but why A _ _, Asian?

Many thanks

Thanks Danny!
Yes I agree totally about 6d. I found the solution largely by having all the across letters in place and then, while I was playing with "a baton," I guessed the whole answer. Definitely a piece of the clue is absent.

Thanks Harlan, thats exactly how I got it also! I did the online version, I wonder if the paper has the rest of the clue?

Thanks Jazzgirl!
Re 6d, my online version shows the whole clue. Perhaps altered after the early birds spotted the omission.
