UK passports will continue to remain valid after Brexit. The only thing which will change (in the event of a 'no deal' exit from the EU) is that you'll need 6 month's validity left on your passport when you travel to an EU country. (At the moment a UK passport is valid for entry into any other EU country right up until the day it expires):

Well, Eddie, had the UK been foolish enough to join the Schengen arrangement that would have been as true for us as it is for most of mainland Europe. Fortunately the government was not so foolish. The folly of that arrangement is now being laid bare with a number of Schengen countries imposing "emergency" border controls.
Rational solution? What for? So remainers can force thier ideology on everyone?
Extending A50 will not make a jot of difference to the deal on offer. The EU have said they are unwilling to make any legal changes and if they are going to make a last minute ‘goodwill’ gesture with a useless assurance or two extending the date will have little effect.
Therefore 29th March is leaving date. Deal or no deal.
The fact a bunch of remainextremists want to keep us in is the stumbling block at the moment.
