My friend is coming round this morning as he wants me to do some printing for Hastings ins. He has recently taken out car ins.with them and they want copies of his " proof of no claims bonus, copy of his passport and copy of his driving license.I have never heard of the last two items being requestedby insurance.Has anyone?

I've never been asked for a copy of Passport/Driving licence for car insurance renewal. Long time ago I was once asked for 'proof' of no claims bonus

no not heard of this and proof of his ncb should be on the car insurance database that the companies share

I have just renewed my insurance with Saga ,I had to send them a copy of my "Proof of no claims"

Possibly a tightening up to try and prevent fraud
