We had new doors fitted a few years ago, and the joiner who fitted them advised that although it looks very easy, it isn't, and unless you know what you are doing, the chances of getting your door to swing and shut smoothly are not good. Sound advice appears to get an expert in to do it for you, and watch them, before you try and have a go yourself.
