Ground Covering Plants

I have googled, but any ideas on fast growing ground covering plants? Nice and sunny area, don’t mind watering them but the soil is rubbish. Would be nice if they flowered but not the end of the world if they don’t.

this will creep quickly, give dense cover and will flower too

If I'm not mistaken Malachite, it's overhanging growth from sherrardk ... which I think he's legally allowed to throw back? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
