1) F for Freddie makes big high meal certain - answer given as Easton-on-the-hill
2) French prefix makes it near worthless - answer given as Arthingworth
I cannot see the logic of either of these. Can anyone explain them to me?

2. If you use the letter F (for French) in front of Arthingworth you will have Farhtingworth, and a farthing's worth would be worthless.
F (for Freddie) at the beginning gives feast (big meal) on the hill = high.
Feast on, on the hill.
