A work colleague, higher up than me, has been messaging me for several evenings. It started when his MIL died suddenly 10 days ago and he was in shock. He messaged me because he said he knew how I felt as my mum was only 59 When she died. Anyway, it’s pretty clear to me that he is only txting me at night when he is drinking as the messages are getting a bit inappropriate. His sex life etc..... how is mine,,,,,,
He’s a big name in my company and just don’t know what to do,I’ve just told him to go to bed ....
Your problem is you're too kind-hearted. This guy's behaviour is totally unacceptable, grief or not. Take it to the police (or his wife, although she's probably a bit fragile at present - not that he seems to think of her - or anyone else except himself).
That's ridiculously over the top at this stage Canary. Smow I guess you want chat about this question but in fact the answer is obvious and some have said so. Just don't reply to any of his texts.
Smow this has to stop. If its not grief, its very innappropriate. A similar thing happened to a friend of mine.....when the bloke came to his senses, he appeared to be worried that the person he had texted now has something "on him" even though she assured him that the texts had been deleted, she found herself being moved from the job she loved.
