Upgrade From Sky Broadband Unlimited To Sky Fibre Unlimited

When the sky fibre box arrives do I just turn off the existing broadband box and remove and install the new fibre box. Also will I have to change all passwords on other equipment like phone / IPad etc. Thanks. Tel.

I have just upgraded to BT fibre and they sent an engineer who had to fiddle with the outside BT green box and add a fitment inside, so the new hub would work ( it was free). Have Sky not offered any help with your upgrade? I did have to reconnect to Sky Catch-up myself, but I looked on their website and there were really easy instructions. Maybe there are instructions there for fitting your new box.

You'll have to change the password an any device which connects wirelessly to the internet as the new router will have a different password from the old one. None of the passwords to accounts on the internet (mail, banks etc) will be affected. You should have an engineer swap the routers and your telephones will no longer need filters on them.
