Misted windscreens

Last year I bought a 2nd hand Clio, 3 door. Throughout the winter I put the air con on hot to demist all the windows, but it seems to take a lot longer than I think it should to demist - up to 5 minutes on some days. I'm now starting to think about winter being on its way again and having to go through the whole thing again on winter mornings, any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I had the same problem on my Vauxhall Astra I was told that the air con was not working properly. That was true New air con radiator. Also it must not be on recycle

As Marcus says, make sure you do not have your ventilation on re-cycle, if you have any rain leaks (see renault forum to cure if you have) A damp interior will give the symptons you have.

Thanks Marcus5771 and Toureman for your suggestions, the sun roof does leak sometimes if rain is heavy enough, and I didn't know there was a recycle so I'm probably using it! Will check out the websites also.
