Missing emails from folder

I use O/E, and keep a folder for some emails that need to be forwarded, there were about twenty in it, they all have disappeared, the folder is still there, so I haven't deleted it by mistake. Anyone any ideas?.

In OE, try going to File>Folder>Compact.

Then try to access the folder.

Failing that, and it is dependent on which version of Windows that you are using, use Windows Explorer, and go to:

C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Identities\{840901C0-189A-11D4-8207-CB2BAD87A261}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

You should see the folders there. Back-up the relevant folder to a CD or Floppy, and try to read from there.
