Does anyone remember Marine Boy ,, Was it from the 60's?

His girlfriend was a mermaid called Neptina, and he could breathe underwater with his special chewing gum There was a white dolphin in it (Splash???). Marine boys dad was a professor - I used to love the theme tune. This must have been late sixties/ early seventies

I do not know how accurate all of this is - it was a long time ago

It was a Japanese cartoon - you can always tell by the eyes!

Ah yes, I remember wishing I had some of his Oxy-gum when I was a nipper.

The dolphin was called Splasher I think.

His father was a Marine Biologist.

The pilots of his Submarine were called Bolton and Piper.

Althogh it was Japanese, we had the version dubbed for America.
