Although many must hate it by now, one of the most memorable adverts is the "Chicken Tonight" advert, which ran in 86 countries around the world. ........ so when you are self catering in some far flung land, you don't need to know the lingo, just flap your "wings" and you are sure to get that bottle of sauce to go with your bird! ;-)

The one that had made me laugh the most was the Macdonalds ad that was a pastiche of a local cinema advert for an indian restaurant.

for me its the Birds Eye Beef Steak thingy where the contractors are sat in the back of the trany van singing "will it be mushrooms, fried onion ring - we'll have to wait and see - we hope it's chips, its chips" to the tune of "ca sera sera" - my "boro" is better than my french" ( but loved the checked shirts, rigger boots and hard hats - ha ha

the most bizzare but funny ad was the one with the enormous belly that was chasing this guy with a song with the words - belly's gonna get you, belly's gonna get you'!
