Good news for Asia Bibi. I am not entirely convinced about the destination. Why on earth after all the secrecy surrounding Asia's whereabouts is everything being disclosed? This is just what the mob who have been hounding her have been waiting for. Much better had she been moved to Canada without even a whisper of where she was going. I hope I am wrong about this and hope that she and her family are safe.

andres, I agree that it would have been safer for her whereabouts to remain undisclosed, but perhaps it dispels any rumours and confirms that she has actually left Pakistan. Well done Canada for offering her a home. Our cowardly government capitulated to the mob. Par for the course in Europe now it seems.

I don't think she would have been safe here in the UK I'm afraid.
Let's hope that the powers that be now remove her and her family from Canada to another country and keep it quiet.

LB, should her whereabouts be discovered I don't think she'll be any safer in Canada than she would be here. Perhaps quietly moving her elsewhere would, as you say, be better.

Yes I'm sure you're right Naomi but my thinking was that she'd be harder to find in a place the size of Canada than here in the UK.
I hope she is quietly moved again so she can be safe and at peace with her family for the rest of her life.
