Norman?
Question Author
I don't see the connection
Nor me, but the only two words I could find to fit the letter pattern were Norman & normal.
I see that answered as Gordon
Is this RTE?
Question Author
The first "N" comes from Bannister (Roger)
Yes RTE No 22
I guessed Gordon as it worked with actors names :(
I think it's connected with Fitz (fits)
Fitzgerald, Fitzroy, Fitzpatrick...
I think you are right, Calibax.
There plenty of Fitznormans.
Norman? Fitz is an Anglo Norman patronymic
Question Author
So the answer must be Normal as in "a normal prefix for these names"
I think it is Norman. A Norman-French prefix
Yes, the clue isn't good imo (I like the Fitz/fits bit though) but Norman works bettr for me in that it better explains why the 'namely' was tagged onto the end
^some of the RTE clues are very strange :0)
That is an understatement Calibax, you tear your hair out doing ~ yet
you know that unless you live in R.O.I. you are not going to win. The second
prize is a notebook (sounds good) oh and they do send a pen so you can
write in the notebook.
Still I do the stupid crossword and waste £1.35 on postage.
**I know I need my head examined**
Hope you all have a lovely Monday, I am off now to post my crosswords.
I agree with Calibax- Norman
