Can anyone recommend a good resonabley priced hotel in Singapore for a family of 3?

Hi,
We are going out to Australia in Nove for 4 weeks, we are looking to break the trip up by staying a couple of nights in Singapore either side of the trip.
Can someone recommend a good hotel for a family of 3...Our son is 3 years old.

I know that I could borrow a book from the library, but I would feel better if someone could recommend a hotel instead.
And can someone suggest the best way to make the most of our short stay, visiting attractions etc.

Hi Auditt, We stayed at the Orchard Hotel althopugh this was done through Singapore Airlines. Excellent hotel.
We were ther three days. We went to the Bird Park, The Night Safari and Semtosa Island. All well worth it. The bookings were done through the hotel and each trip was by bus. Well worth it.
One thing though, dont take any chewing gum in as it is not allowed.

I can recommend the Shangri-La.
Chewing is allowed for tourists, but don't trade it, otherwise you'll end up in a sticky situation.

The Shangri La which is just a few minutes walk down to Orchard Road. Lovely rooms, delightful staff

Just remember NOT to drop chewing gum on the pavements etc .they are very strict on that ,it 's a lovely clean place.

We stayed at the Pan Pacific - Brilliant hotel and we didn't find it too expensive. A few years ago now though. You must try to have a singapore sling in the long bar of the Raffles Hotel and eat peanuts you just throw the shells on the floor - it was fasinating.

Also the Fullerton Hotel is well worth a look!
