I went to the Mary Quant exhibition at the V&A today. Her designs were a bit before my time but I remember the daisy emblem on her make up. That got my sister and I trying to remember make up brands from the 1970s. I remember Miners make up and the alternative which was Outdoor Girl. Does anyone else remember interesting make up and perfume from the 1970s?

I really can't see how a man with the reputation of Vidal Sassoon would lie about it and try and pass another model off as Nancy Kwan.
I knew I wasn't imaging things about the programme I saw. .Here he his in his own words and pictures about her visiting his salon and cutting her hair.

Warner brothers wanted her to star in film called The Wild Affair in 1963 and contacted Sassoon to cut her hair and you can see her in that film with that haircut. Clips on Youtube.

Dont think Kwan would be pleased to lose royalties from piccy. Every pic of Kwan shows full heavy eyebrows. Its only when ones relative is usurped that its annoying. Youve known me long enuf on here to draw ur conclusions on my claim.

In the clip that shaneystar has posted Vidal Sassoon says that the photo's went on the American Vogue, English Vogue and Italian Vogue.

Reading his book p120 Vidal writes he is exhibiting in LA in 1960s. Unhappy with bleached hair of model that couldnt carry the flow of his cut, he finds a prostitute to model. She retorts "hairdresser or not, my time is 100bucks" He pays her 200bucks after cutting his famed Asymetric style which is in Vogue internationally.

My cuz is dter of GI & joined the Bluebell Girls to fund her trip to LA to meet the father she never knew.
