Not Even Nostradamus Saw This One Coming - Spoiler Alert!!!!!
Sometimes in life we are surprised at what has occurred. Sometimes we are startled. Very, very rarely are we completely dumbfounded. But that is exactly how i feel on waking to the news. How did this happen? This was more of a surprise than Leicester winning the Prem league. More of a surprise than the Brexit referendum result. Anthony Joshua beaten - and well beaten at that - by this apparent no-hoper from Mexico. Knocked down 4 times - that's F O U R, then stopped in the seventh. Just can't believe it, but it happened.

Togo; yes, i'll no doubt catch up with it at some point. I see that while Wilder sent AJ a scathing message ("he wasn't a true champion, his whole career has been built on contradiction and lies", etc), Fury, surprisingly, sent him a quite supportive and sympathetic message, advising him to "rest up and recover." Crass and class.

it's like Tyson v Douglas again. Though after the event it became clear that Tyson had been on a 6 month bender and barely trained. I don't think Joshua skipped on training so that makes it a bigger shock. The thing is though these guys can knock a horse out if they connect so it's never a certainty.
Swift change of heart. I was going to pay to watch, but despite not being a tight wad I am not stupid either. Sky are asking for nigh on 20quid to watch a replay. No way Jose. Will stream it or wait. I note the comments about the peculiar outcome. "She who must be obeyed" is not what you would call a boxing fan, but even she said "there is something wrong there" when I told her the result. From what I have managed to see Joshua looked cooked by round 3 and the tap on the head that put him in trouble should not have put him in such dire straits.
