The Maddie Macann case as received more funding to continue a trail that as long since gone stone cold, ( that's if there was a trail to begin with) is it time to call it a day?

To be fair......it is likely that Madeleine was dead within 48 hours after her nonappearanc e ( statistics) and i understand both sides of the argument. My main objection is that ALL children that have disappeared in similar circumstance s should but haven't been afforded the same amount of monetary support. This looks on the surface like...

I always use to say yes, stop funding the case. However, after that documentary, i see how ignorant i was to the number of lines of enquiry they can still peruse (and are perusing). I think the UK MET (am i right in saying the case is with them?) Need to investigate the Portuguese police.
I believe their is a slight conspiracy behind this case, and i'm all up for unearthing it.
In reality, the money we're putting towards this case wouldn't be used elsewhere, would it? And if it were, chances it'd go where i'd want it to is minimal.
Let em get on with it.

Because more money has just been pumped into the case.
Also, time changes, more info surfaced (the documentary)
I don't see why it isn't an important topic.
It was a MASSIVE case. Still is.

Its obvious that teacake44 is interested in the case and, if in fact more funding has been allocated to it, she wants to know your present opinions on the situation regardless of previous thoughts. It's quite common for people to change their mind regarding things. In my case, I say I think everything and more has been done...Leave it alone.

This looks on the surface like "favoritism".....middle class professional couple being given special treatment.

It has been discussed frequently, but since new people join AB all the time reintroducing topics isn’t a bad thing.
I don’t know how I feel about further funding really. As I parent I know that if this were my child I would never want to give up the search, but rationality tells me that this poor little girl is probably dead and has been since shortly after she was abducted.

sqad, //My main objection is that ALL children that have disappeared in similar circumstances should but haven't been afforded the same amount of monetary support. //
Few children who have disappeared in similar circumstances have remained missing for very long. Most have been found dead. Additionally most children who go missing for long periods of time aren't toddlers - they're older children. This little girl was just three years old. I think that's why substantial amounts of money have been spent in trying to find her.
