Friday. The weekend is almost here. Nothing going on today, at the moment anyway, but that can change. It's going to rain heavily, so domesticity is the order of the day.

Have a happy day everyone.

All sorted DT.
hoarding is my synonym for amassing, minty - why does one need 17 dinner services - I'm taking 2 and my middle sister 2 as well....and the clothing, well that is completely out of proportion....

That's a lot of stuff DT!
Not yet, DT, the study is going to take until Monday I bet, what with today largely written off....then there is in here (40% done) and various caches such as the hall desk - and once we have the first sweep out of stuff, I can then start unloading the glassware for the second auctioneer and begin on the kitchen as to what I will take and the rest to go to the house clearance.

Following this, there then is the move of my stuff and the rest of the furniture. It's just a vast logistics exercise at the end of the day.

You ain't wrong there DT!
On the clothing front, if you remember, I wrote about the clearance we did the year before last...that resulted in 370 black bags of rotten clothing/trash/broken pieces etc going up the drive - never mind what went to a homeless centre and Cancer Research.

Not withstanding this - (and now there are 48 of them this week alone sitting outside for me to cart up the drive on Sunday), how does one accumulate 135 skirts, 128 dresses, and 117 coats and jackets - and there are still some residual pockets that my sister will tackle today..... The retro woman has lifted about a third so far for a good wad of notes and is back today.

The charity count this week is 8 boxes of books, 2 Homeless centre bags of towels and bed linen and Cancer Research has seen 10 small boxes of goodies.
books to Oxfam as they are the only ones in Truro who will take them....
time to be moving......the town beckons, more drops, dinner and a coffee or two, my moment of sanity in the day.
So have a good one all.....

Have a good'un DT.

I'm off too.

Have a happy day everyone.
I am really curious if there is anyone about. Is DTC's mother going anywhere - I know he looked after her but now he seems to be clearing her house out.

My friend who has dementia is now in a care home - will be going down this afternoon to visit. All sad. Whatever has happened DTC has been a very good son.
Jj. I believe dt*s mother is now in a care home / nursing home .
thanks Anne - I know he done his very best.
there comes a point when professional help is needed, Connie.
I know DT - am just out of the care home myself and while my friend can come across lucid at times - she is in the best place.

Today there was like a concert of a man and his daughter singing and playing a variety of instruments and it was lovely, lively and the care assistants are simply amazing. You can see that they really care and love the patients genuinely so your mother will be loved just as much.
well she has settled in very well and we can't fault the staff and their attention, the diversity something far more than I could ever provide as a single carer.....
