I remember seeing Rambert do this in the mid 90s - it was an evening of dance set to the Stones music : Sympathy for the Devil, Paint it Black, Not Fade away, Ruby Tuesday and others.
And don't times change. This poster saw Ballet Rambert at Horsham theatre when he was, I don't know, sixteen? (Don't ask.) Can't remember what they performed, not classical, perhaps, but certainly not contemporary.
Must get onto YouTube to see more, especially "Paint it Black", VE's all time favourite Stones' song until it was overtaken by "Nineteenth Nervous Breakdown".
And... VE, you're older than you look in your avatar ;o)
Yes, Youtube. What a goldmine. I don't even have a TV. iPlayer for catching up with dramas and BBC Four, but I couldn't imagine suffering "Strictly" or that baking show for instance.
No harm in them of course, but once I start trawling Youtube, it goes on forever.
I think it was the News of the World that once said...
"All human life is there". Although it might have been pinched from Anthony Burgess.
