Chuka stands for the Labour leadership - and then a week later stands down because he wasn't happy with the ensuing media attention. Then he's the prime mover in the founding of the Independent Group (Change UK) and today joins the Lib Dems !

"(Of course the conclusion of all that is that May is far more useless than Chukka and Corbyn combined)"

Dont think many will argue against that Gromit :-)
I don't know about 'mercurial' but he's not one to saturn his laurels....
gromit: "Two years ago in an election called to increase May’s majority, Corbyn turned out to be not useless enough. You predicted a 50 seat majority for May, and the Corbyn led Labour Party gained a load of seats, reducing the majority to a minority. " - indeed but as you well know that was the most polarised vite in history. Either protagonist would have been returned with a 100 seat majority in any other election.
1997, Blair 43.2% - majority 175; 2017 May 42.4, majority -9
May got the second highest percentage in history. I'm no fan of treason May or indeed the HOQ at the moment but you need to look at what happened gromit.
Chukka seems confused about which party should represent his constituency.
Maybe the electorate should be given the opportunity of whether they want Labour, ChangeUK or the LibDems to return their MP.
Obviously he has no integrity so that won’t happen.
