Has anyone noticed a recent increase of fights between female soap opera characters? I believe Paul Collins in the late Brookside once referred to it as a 'fishwives' brawl'. Does anyone have any favourites? I don't think you can beat Gail Platt/Eileen fighting in their dressing gowns.

Viewers of a certain age will recall the nuclear-level shouting matches between Elsie Tanner and Ena Sharples on Corrie - but back in those days, only the men ever got physical.
