A natural Tory constituency doesn't have the helpful electoral device of a large and guaranteed postal vote available to it as the Labour Party did in Peterborough.

When's the election? If before Halloween I dare say sufficient Tory faithful will trust Boris (or, perhaps, Mr Hunt) to keep the party in power. If it happens after Halloween the Brexit party will have an excellent chance for the obvious reason that Mr Johnson can't, or won't care to, deliver his promise of a proper Brexit.

PS: I'm saying what I think about Johnson. I hope that I'm proved wrong.
