soon(1 month)be going to croatia (istrian peninsular)i would like to know how much cash to take for basic things such as eating/drinking etc many thanks

Hi kendo -- how exciting! You will love Croatia -- food /drink is fairly inexpensive (you can get a delicious dinner for two for about 30/40 Euros) but like everywhere they have places that are more expensive. All I can suggest is that you take more than you think you'll need. It's better to bring it back home than to not have enough to start. Have fun!
