Got Sky Q box. Just got an onscreen message that the TV is going to switch itself off in X seconds unless I press the "OK" button. Firstly I can't find an "OK" button on the remote control and secondly, what causes this message to appear ?

Happens on my TV if I've stayed on same channel for a long time, think its got something to do with power saving.
similar happened with fil's tv if watching same channel for a long time.

If you can't find an 'ok' button, chorley, just press a different channel number to see if that helps
It's a setting in your TV rather than the Sky box. You can turn it off in one of the menus.
Our old Hitachi used to do the same.
I push the central round button, the one you use once you have selected channel to get the programme. Mr U says he uses the back arrow button on the silver surround, so hopefully either will work.
I think that you can press ANY button on your remote.
It sounds like a Dead man's switch.

You have to verify you are still alive to continue watching.

Thank you everyone for your answers.
press the middle select button but any button will do, if there has been no activity at all in 2 hours sky assumes no one is watching and powers down to standby, programs still record. You can disable this feature:

1. Press Home on your Sky Q remote and select Settings, then Setup.
2. Select Preferences, followed by Standby mode and select the setting you want.
select "NONE" to turn this feature off.
