Electrical Problem

Can anyone help me here, please ?

Situation:

Lights in downstairs loo not working ( 2-gang).
Bulbs OK. . No switches tripped on board. All other house lights working.

But, Live feed to loo switch is dead.

Mystery.

Do you have a multimeter to check switch is still functioning. If not try checking that loop wire is not disconnected in another switch.

Is it disconnected at the light fitting ? Worth a visual check.

In my opinion if one needs talking through electrical problems one might consider getting an expert to look at it. But if you decide to check for yourself turn off the light supply and only turn on to check when a) knowing to be careful not to put your finger in, and b) knowing not to accidentally short things out and get molten screwdriver in your face.

Problem solved. Well done, Tony !
It was a loose feed wire connected to another nearbyswitch. I had loosened both plates for decorating.

Thanks to you, too O.G. I'm OK with minor DIY problems but I knew someone on AB would be more knowledgeable than me - and save me a few quid.
