Thought he'd lost his mojo (or bojo) but Johnson was quite appealing at the Exeter hustings this morning.

The main advantage that he has over Hunt is personality.IMO Hunt comes over has too bland.
Did he promise to speed up the rebuilding of the Royal Clarence?
Question Author
Danny: Agreed.
Liars can be appealing at times (remember the initial euphoria over Blair?)
Find me a politician who hasn’t lied.
Canary, I am not saying that Boris is appealing, just that he does have a personality.
Question Author
Canary: Wasn't saying I'm a fan. I'm not. The Daily Mirror was interesting yesterday in that it re-published a Guardian article by Max Hastings, Johnson's former boss, that was a damning indictment. Hastings is someone whose judgment I would trust.
Question Author
Hunt's on the Beeb now. He's parroting the same speech he's given on at least four previous occasions. It's in the same order with the same soundbites.
I recall a period when folk said, "Blair ? Bambi ? Who ?". Can't recall any euphoria.
Hunt is going to get such a shock. Boris will whip his April and he will find himself on the back benches. He should have seen the writing on the wall when he only got the backing of 25 % of MPs as opposed to Boris's 51% and withdrawn with dignity.
Question Author
Jack: Hunt couldn't withdraw. May was selected by 'acclamation' and even the Tory Party in parliament was unanimous in saying that members, this time, had to have a choice.
Unfortunately for Hunt he has painted himself into a corner. It has to go to the membership as stated above so he will just have to sit tight and make the most of it.

Go BoJo!
