Holidaying In Latvia

Has anyone been on holiday to Latvia? We're going in 10 days time and wondered if you have any useful info re where to eat, etc, etc.

Latvia might not be that big but, at half the size of England, there's still quite a lot of it. So it might help if you told us more precisely where you're going to!

Riga's actually biggish - much more than its neighbouring capitals Vilnius and Tallinn. More than a million people. Walkable but not quite so strollable, if you see what I mean.

A lot of art nouveau architecture, if you like that sort of thing, plus a few renaissance and medieval buildings still around.

Personally, I was struck by the number of drunks, but that was a few years ago now.
