Wedding Thanks

I am writing my thank you letters this weekend. AB deserves a thank you.

I had a load of good ideas, advice and lovely wishes from AB members for my wedding on 22 June. Thank you all.

The day was perfect. It went so well but it went so (too) quickly.

Couple of classic funny moments:-

1) the registry office was running late so I saw Mr BM before the ceremony. I immediately noticed he still had the security tag on his jacket. "You had ONE job" I hissed at him!!!

2) my new husband hid my speech prompts (hadn't had time to become word perfect). I didn't know the microphone was on when I snappily asked him (in some rather industrial language) as to its whereabouts.

3) my mother and my husband had a minor disagreement during her speech about Socrates. She referred to the philosopher; he referred to the footballer.

I'm posting a pic of the dress I wore. And my bouquet. When i can work out how.

Congratulations to Mr Barmaid for wedding and bedding the perfect spouse. (Isn't that the traditional way "congratulations" are supposed to work when people get married rather than suggesting that a desperate spinster has been relieved from a life of crochet and Telegraph crosswords?)

Marrying "your best friend" is a good thing to do, Barmaid.

Wow that dress is stunning!! I bet you looked more stunning in it and whatever little hiccups like the security tag and registry office running late, these things happen in the best planned weddings xx Oh I cannot believe you went all traditional with the dress, it is gorgeous, I was expecting you would wear the lovley floral on you once posted here, I also didn't realise the wedding was so soon, I am so happy for you and wish you both all the happiness in the world xx Ducks xxx
