The lasy couple of days my computer has become very slow when loading Norton Security after switch on and again when I switch the computer off at the end of the day it stays stuck on the screen Saving Settings . . .
I have just tried a system restore but it doesn't seem to have made any difference. Many thanks for any suggestions.

There could be lost of reasons, it's impossible to diagnose via a few messages on AB.

It could be: you have a virus or spyware; the disk is too full; disk is fragmented; hanging at shutdown is often the fault of drivers.

Try: delete all the rubbish, delete all the software you don't use, do a disk defrag, make sure your Norton is up-to-date and do a full manual scan.
this could mean alot of thing's,
1 possible reason's might be that a chips have gone of the ram,
2 you have a virus or spyware on your pc
3 you have a window's update as that can slow you pc down as it does for my laptop
