That video just posted is an episode of the 1970s/80s schools programme 'How We Used To Live'.

I'm sorry but I'd be extremely surprised if any recordings of that series exist. The BBC had just started to use videotape in those days and, because it was mega-expensive, it was standard practice to wipe the tapes for re-use after programmes had been transmitted.

Good life lesson in that video. Sometimes something significant goes on. Some go around worrying, and claiming all are doomed, it's the end of the world. But ultimately, with a leader strong enough not to be persuaded by the doomsayers, and sticking to their guns, it all works out at the end, and the world's a better place for them having done so.
