Queen doesn't need a passport
8 Answers
Heard an intresting story on the radio this morning that the Queen does not need a passport when she is travelling from country to country.I take it the same goes for Prince Philip so is this the case for all the royal family members? Is the Queen the only person in the world this applys to?

British Airways insist on you having ID for domestic flights too. They don't tell you this when you phone up, though, so when I turned up at the airport with lots of money and no ID, they wouldn't sell me a ticket and the result was that I missed my gran's funeral. Mind you, I hate funerals anyway, so I didn't mind especially. If only I'd thought of charging BA for the wasted taxi fare to the airport, but on the whole things worked out better than they might have done.
You dont need a passport for most flights, but you will need ID. I guess HMTQ is pretty recognisable herself and doesn't need one in that respect. Also, isn't page 1 of your passport a message from the Foreign Secretary on the Queen's behalf to let the bearer pass without hindrance? Presumably she doesn't need a passport to pass her own message along.
