Todays competition is 3 nights in a hotel in St Mawes in Cornwall. Is it worth entering as it would be 720 miles there and back from Essex which is not included in the prize . So the cost to get there with stops there and back for food would be nearly the cost of the holiday
Also my son won a 14 day cruise For departures dates in June only and here was no alternative and as she was a schoolteacher and two children at school they could not go and it was non transferable

Maybe give it a miss, then, gollob
You also need to look at the availability dates. I nearly entered a competition in a magazine the other day and the prize was a couple of nights in a spa hotel in the SW. Then I looked at the dates and it had to be taken between the end of September and the middle of December. Waste of time really.
The availability dates are given before you enter, so I wouldn't enter if I couldn't go then.
Is it my imagination but have these been really easy the last few weeks, not much of a challenge? I'd be happy to go down to Cornwall anytime!
Definitely give it a miss. My wife & I have been doing these competitions for more than 20 years, and getting the correct locations, and we have never won. The odds against winning must be huge.
Yes Zebo I entirely agree. When Sean Newsom took over from Chris Fauntley in October 2018 I found the clues rather cryptic but the past three weeks have been very easy and straightforward and yes we love Cornwall so will be entering this week's puzzle.
