I have a HP Photosmart C4680 Printer, Scanner & Copier.

I always buy the cheaper cartridges and not the genuine HP ones.

Today I replaced the cartridges only to find that it keeps coming up with the message 'There is a cartridge problem'

Even when I take the cartridges out and load them again it comes up with the same warning. What could the reason for this be?

It only seems the problem is with the colour cartridge.

Refilled cartridges can have some wear on the copper tape a clean may help.

Thank you, what do you suggest that I clean them with?
I`d probably lighter fuel sparingly
Isopropyl alcohol, or at a push a little white spirit on an earbud
