Ive often ate eggs well past their BBD (always done the 'sink or float' test before tho).
Just wondering tho, how long would an egg last if it was boiled before going off or uneatable?
I eat loads of eggs and just wondering if I boiled a pan full of eggs, how long they would last (if kept in the fridge) before becoming inedible.
Thanks.

They'll keep for a week in the fridge.
When I lived in America, the supermarkets used to sell packs of ready boiled eggs for lunches and so on. The use by was around the same as raw eggs. I don't think boiling them would make them last any longer and would have the added problem that the sink/float thing wouldn't work.
5-7 days but make sure you cool them quickly in some ice water

AB time delay.....
We sell packs of 2 hard boiled shelled eggs at Morrisons; they come into store with a week to go before Use By date (not Best Before) - however, Lord knows when they were actually boiled!

I eat eggs every morning (usually poached or scrambled) just looking to save a bit of cooking time by hard boiling a batch at a time.
Buy half a dozen. Hard boil them all together and shell 1 a day and eat it. If none seem off then next week buy 8 eggs and boil them all together then shell and eat 1 a day until one smells off and that will show you how quickly they go off.....flipping ages if you are lucky enough to be able to buy really fresh eggs. Enjoy but please eat plenty of veggies to offset the problem too many eggs could cause you digestive system

Mally. Usually have egg and some kind of plant based food...mushrooms, beans, tomatoes etc.
Just found that eating egg in the morning fills me up until dinner without snacking,

Thank you captain, I will...
Peeling your own eggs would be much cheaper!
Did that :-)
Do people still believe you can get “egg-bound” by eating lots of eggs? Various elderly grannies/great aunts have said so to me, as does my ancient husband.

I think it really only happens to hens who get an egg stuck.
You'd have to eat a lot of hard boiled eggs and a generally low fibre diet for them to cause constipation.
