The Purge -- Over Half Of Cabinet To Be Replaced

As I type two more ministers, David Mundell and Claire Perry, and Leader of the House Mel Stride, have stepped down from Cabinet roles, presumably because they were pushed -- joining a long list of ministers to have followed Theresa May out today.

A brutal purge, not just of Remain-supporting ministers, but also of anyone who had the temerity to back Hunt rather than Johnson in the Leadership election. Fox out. Mordaunt gone. Two of the strongest Leave supporters you could find right there.

One could presumably forgive Johnson for wanting Hammond, etc, gone -- and even if Johnson wanted to keep him Hammond didn't want to stay -- but a clearout of this scale seems to be a dangerous way to start. The Prime Minister can only govern with consent, and with such a wafer-thin majority (that anyway relies on another party!), creating so many enemies is at the very least a courageous decision.

I suppose the plus side is that either Boris achieves everything Brexit supporters dreamed of, or they run out of excuses at last.

That is plan A Jim. Meanwhile talk to darling Nigel and make the pact, keep pushing the legal and rightful Brexit, and if the treacherous commons, or louse of hordes block Brexit again...….well time for PlanB.
Call the GE, and run an agreed strategic campaign that isolates the Remainiac MPS, The limp Dumbs, and Labour in one fell swoop. A 40+ majority(minimum) would see Brexit finalised and the UK free of the EUSSR crooks. Sorted, let's see haw committed the, shy talk, Remainiacs are to the pyramid scheme when their gravy train is threatened with derailment. :))

I think you’ll find “sentencing” is the preserve of the Justice department not the Home Office.
And the Justice secretary is ... H Himmler ... only joking Robert Buckland.
