QUESTION - i have some thai gold, and gold ive bought abroad over the years in different airports like dubai etc, some of gold was for my ex wife which i took with me when we split ( no contact with her and if i had she would not give me reciepts ) so no proof of reciepts there.
i have also some reciepts for my own gold, photos of it also and videos of me wearing it etc
most gold was under 2000 pounds .
ive also other items in house with no reciept.
in event of breakin or loss are insurance companies going to play hard ball and slither out of any pay outs ?
what is likely outcome, no reciepts for goods ? or cash in house up to say 2000 pounds ?
yes of course you know they will
the insurance will cover one item for X pounds poss as little as £2000
ring up the insurance
and ask if they will accept a valuation from a jeweller
You can get written valuation from a local jeweller that would support any insurance claim you have in the future. But you do need to make sure all your doors if plastic have 5 bolt locking.
