Big Brother ?

I should probably have put this on Films & TV but thought I might get a few unbiased opinions on here. What is the point of this "programme" Apparently there are reasonably intelligent people who watch this drivel so I thought - it must be me, I'll persevere ! ......well I've tried to be enthusiastic but I just DO NOT see this as entertainment .

A lot of it is crap. (like the live episodes) but if u don't like it just don't watch it.

Sometimes it can be funny. What I thought was funny was Richard winding up Johnathan... So raged!

My fav is probably the one with Vic (Da slick man) cos he was funny.

I think the phrase 'each to their own' springs to mind, dummkopf. How funny if the whole nation enjoyed the very same things in life. I see your point littlechick though; perhaps in a few years dummkopf you will come to understand that everyone is different.
Oh, by the way, it is mainly the psychology of the programme; I think if you asked most BB fans they are not watching for the sexy human beings - it is how they are slowly broken down and laid bare whilst they are in there which is fascinating to those who love people-watching.
Interesting though that you feel the need to persevere with the show; stick to what you know you like and try not to be swayed.

I'm middle-aged but it's not an age thingy is it ? as my friend's mother watches it and she is 74 God bless her, mind you her hearing is not that good these days, maybe that helps, course it could be senile dementia setting in !

I'm not quite sure what I like about it. I just get attached to the programme at the start and am unable to spot watching. And I am an intelligent person, so its not down to a persons intelligence whether or not they watch some TV programme or another.

for me its like having a cage with some hampsters in. you can sit & watch them & it requires no brain effort. after a long day at the office when my brain just wont calm down its quite theraputic.
& unlike hampsters they dont bite & you dont have to clean up any poop.

Never acually watched any of those type of programmes. Can't believe that people are so nosy the want to know what other people get up to

i think it is interesting to watch what people will do and how they behave. usually you only get to see one side of a situation or person, but here you see everything and it helps understand human nature

I was bed-ridden when the last celebrity bb was on, and my fiancee watced it, It was a living hell ...

never watched before that, will never watch again ...what a load of inane detritus.

Haven't watched much of this years, but I did watch it last year, and when I showed a slight interest in one of the evictions one night, my Mother-in-Law mocked me for all I was worth, saying it was rubbish, she thought I was intelligent, it was disgusting, and a whole lot of other stuff, which at the time I thought was unnecessary, but let it go.

This year, she watched it at the begining becasue there was someone from our area on it, and now she is absolutely hooked.

Not that I am one to cast things up, but on reminding her of her comments last year, she said oh well it was full of sex then, this year has been so much better! She is so hokked on it my Husband refuses to visit when it's on, since the last time we did, we were hardly acknowledged!

Just shows, give it half a chance and you can become hooked!
