I went collecting yesterday evening and knocked on the side door of a house, 'cos they told me they don't use the front door.
Got to the door to find it wide open and the lady strolling round the kitchen in her underwear.
I don't know who was the most shocked - her at seeing me at the door; or me jumping outta my skin when she screamed.

Funnily enough, after she'd rushed to the door to close it, she didn't come back to the door to pay me - she sent one of her grand kids out with the dosh lol :P

One day I was asked to visit a sheltered housing scheme where everybody was in their 80s and 90s. It was a boiling hot day .. the customer opened the door all she had on was a smile .. oh and I will never forget those blue slippers !
