Not sure if this is the right section but my daughter has just asked me why do buddist monks wear bright orange robes? I don't know, any ABers who do?

sorry must have been typing when you posted sense4all. I found the link "it reminds us of the colours of the earthen dykes around the rice fields of Makoth city." thanks again all even for the humor!!!
They all been Tango'd??
Orange - or saffron colour - is the most seen on Buddist monks from SE Asia. Red colour is found in Tibet, and others found in other orders in different countries.

The use of earth pigments or dyes led to the plain colours.

Monks follow different regimes including living by begging or by a vow of chasitity or poverty, but all seek to attain nirvana and end the cycle of birth and re-birth.

Quite right too. . . . .
