Micro Sd Card Isn't Recognised On Devices

I have a 128gb micro sd card that stopped being recognised/loaded by my phone or computer. I took it to a local tech guy and he had the same problem, his computers wouldn't read the card.

Does anyone think there is a chance of recovering any files from the card as I've got photos on it that I'd like to save.

Any advice appreciated.

Would very much doubt it. Gotta read it to extract data. But you could try in umpteen readers and keep your fingers crossed.
Is it even recognised as an SD card at all ? If so it may be worth a web search to see if there's recovery software that has any chance of spotting anything.
Unfortunately probably damaged.
Sometimes the pins dont make good contact. Its an outside chance and I would have expected a tech guy to do it but try cleaning them.

I know the horse has bolted on this one but this is why it is important to back up, preferably with an archive 'off site'
I agree with O_G - if the computers can't recognise the card you've got no chance of getting the data off it.
I think you've just learned the hard way why wise computer users make copies of everything; I know it's tedious but a single copy of anything is very vulnerable.
Unlikely to recover any files from a dud sd card.

However, seeing as its free, nothing lost to try Recuva

Have you tried putting the card in a digital camera ? If by any chance it worked in a camera, then you could use a cable from the camera to your PC and then download what you want to save ? Just a thought. Good luck.

It was originally in an Android phone. It stopped working in the phone first but worked for a while in a different phone and computer. Then it stopped working on everything. I could try it in a camera to see if even the images load perhaps.
you could try cleaning the little gold contacts, i once managed to get one working, i used one of those fine sand paper nail file sticks, gently abrased the gold contacts the used a little wd40 to clean after, put it back in the phone and bingo..worked, removed all my files quickly.
you could also put it into sd adapter then pc, you have nothing lose.

Thanks will give it a go, as you say seems like nothing to lose at this stage.
