If I removed Internet Explorer would my computer become unstable in any way or crash? I'm still finding my way around Firefox but am not sure whether to leave IE on my system. Also when I use an Add On in Firefox, it says it wont be installed until Firefox is restarted - probably a really stupid question but does that mean restarting my computer? Many thanks.

Firstly, IE is actually a part of windows itself, so cannot be removed.

Secondly, do not uninstall it. Some annoying sites don't work in any other browsers other than IE, so keep it for them alone.

To restart firefox all it means is closing all your firefox windows and then opening them again. Make sure they're all closed though, including for example the downloads window.
