So is it safe to walk down the main street in Preston now then, without the risk of one's hearing being assailed by the sounds of Garth Brooks' latest hit coming from a shoe shop or a book shop?
Crossing the footbridge into Tijuana was a massive culture shock. Less than 50 yards separated Western opulence from rows of children begging in rags. Well I am off to Santa Monica now so catch ya'll later! My wish was to go and stand next to the bronze cowboy standing on the corner in Winslow Arizona but that's for another trip
JimF, I haven't been to Tijuana but I went across the border at Nogales. So did dozens of busloads of American pensioners wanting cheap drugs (not the illegal sort, just the expensive sort).
