Now this may seem unlikely, but I can assure you all, that no matter how mobile your wise Tea Rose the slugs are able to easily trap it. This is because although giving an outward appearance of calm and slow movement, the slug actually moves at the speed of light when it senses that no human is watching it. This was taught to me by my Grandfather(maternal) who himself was taught by the famous horticulturalist Harry Stottle.
