Next Saturday we are hoping to meet some family (and their new dog) in the Uttoxeter area which is about midway for both parties.

Can anyone suggest an easily accessible (i.e. not far from A50) park which would be suitable for a young spaniel to have a bit of a bounce around and for the rest of us to have a picnic?

Many thanks.

I believe our resident Captain of industry trims bushes and lawns in that area when he isn’t playing in the skateboard park.Must be busy today.
Sorry a clue. I meant spath of course.
I don't know the area, but this might help:

Have been to Cannock Chase and item 3 - Seven Springs looks good.

There's an antique and collectors fair on if you're interested in that sort of thing. Uttoxeter racecourse Sat 31/8 and Sun 1/9.
Blithfield Reservior Picnic area and great for dog to have a cool down in water. just off the A518 you will need b5013
Seven Springs, Cannock Chase.
You got there before me, Rationalist. :-)
If you do go to Seven Springs, Sherbrook Valley on the chase watch out for dh's on mountain / all terrain bikes tazzing around they don't tend to slow down for ramblers.
Or if you do go to Blithefield reservoir take some rods, brilliant trout fishing there.

Apologies for the lateness of my return to this thread.

Thanks for the suggestions; I'll work my way through them and see which is the most suitable for us all.
