My friend's mum died earlier this year aged 93 and she had the job of clearing out her house. When my friend was a child there was one cupboard that none of the family were allowed to touch. It was the first aid cupboard and only mother had a key. She got the key, a black plastic bag and prepared to throw away years of out of date medicines etc. What did she find? Twelve bottles of Whisky and one packet of paracetamol. She roared with laughter as did I when she told me.

sounds good to me
Absolutely not. There is insufficient anti inflammatory's available.
Haha, no wonder no one was allowed and I'm sure dear Mr Sqad will approve of the old lady's 'secret'
At 93 it looks like the water of life did it's job. :-)
That made me laugh!
Only twelve bottles? he he. Clearly her secret stash!
LOL.....forget the Paracetamol, just try the whisky...;-)

Thought you'd enjoy that.
Classic
hoarding for Brexit, obviously... I wonder if 12 will be enough
Ah, a lady after my mothers heart! She usually had a bottle by her bed, complained the carers were drinking it until one day we found her drunk as a lord, which took some doing with my mum! She kept forgetting she'd already had some so from then on it was rationed - surprising how much longer a bottle lasted. She died at 93 too.
My mother in law often topped the bottle of Bushmills up with water for F.I.L, each night they'd have their whiskey ,she'd have her Glen Morangie and he his BM, no idea why she topped his up tho :0)
I love that
I can only think that Sqad would advise more paracetamol - and monitor the contents of the cupboard.
Lovely tale, BD.......made me chuckle and a much better discovery than I made when clearing my Mum’s house.
Under her mattress I found a receipt for a gun and a load of ammunition. ........ :-)
Bakers, I know I shouldn't laugh but that is funny. Thank you for sharing.

G'ness gawd knows what they'll find should something happen to me.. but one does tend to be a little more stealthy than that though ;-)
