it wasnt meant to be funny. just relieving.....i didnt enjoy it... but literally couldnt hold it.
dont think cctv was on buses back then either - anyway cctv on buses never work - havent u heard of all the crimes that have taken place but oh "cctv wasn't working"....
It wasn't recent, but its funny.

An ex friend of mine was getting on the tube after work and got his face caught in the door. Broke his glasses and had a big bruise the whole length of his face from the door shutting on it.

He tried to get damages out of them, but didn't, tried to get sympathy out of me, but didn't I think I wet myself when he told me. Not why he is an ex-friend though, but its great to think back and laugh at the pain and expense he had to go through, and the mental image of his long face being stuck in the door.
Couple of weeks back, standing at my local station in SE London waiting for the 8.19 train. The station man announced that the train approaching was the 8.19 etc. It then speeded up and went through the station without stopping. The station man then came on the tannoy and said "ummm sorry about that ummm that was the ummm 8.19 that just umm went by platform 1 without stopping ummm sorry, umm not sure why he didn't stop umm yeah umm sorry about that ummm yeah". I thought it was funny!
hmmm...think that's the best one so far! I'm sure there must be more like these?
Once saw a man trying to read his newspaper with the woman seated next to him peering over his shoulder to read it too. He was obviously becoming increasingly irritated by this. In the end he folded it up and shoved it into her hand, saying in a very loud voice. "As you're obviously desperate to read my paper, you'd better bl**dy well have it"!

She went bright red with embarrassment and got up at the next tube station and walked out, presumably to find another carriage.
lol wendy - thats quality - dont blame him. Its so annoying.
A few months ago i was sitting on a bus one afternoon and it was in a traffic jam. I looked out the window just in time to see a black man walking past wearing nothing but a pair of socks.Oh and he had a really tiny winkie
Some years ago my mother sat in front of a little old gentleman on the top deck of a bus, a few minutes into the journey she felt something warm touching her ankle, turning round, she glared at the old boy, a short time later it happened again, so in a very loud voice she boomed "If you do that once more I'll report you to the driver". At the next stop the old fella got up , followed by the small shaggy dog that had been laying by his feet.
I have to say that in all my years of travelling on Public Transport in London, I have never had an amusing experience. I 've been hot, bothered, irritated, harrassed, groped, inconvenienced, delayed and threated by security alerts, but I ain't laughed much... sorry fielakind!
i got half stuck in the old slidey doors once and the bus started to drive away i thought it was hilarious but my mum diddnt haha
I remember when I was at college we all had to go to London and I had a mate who was a bit on the 'mad' side. Anyway we all had to run for the tube and my mate was the fastest. He stood there in between the doors prising them apart for all of us. As there wasnt much room we all had to crawl in between his legs (looking like proper &*&*'s) to get on.

Continued......

Anyway, everyone on the tube was looking at us in total amazement - my other friend (the last to get on) then got her bag caught in the door and we were trying to drag her in. Eventually the driver put an announcement over the speaker saying 'I hope everyone boarded safely and you could hear him laughing'. I was crying in tears as to how stupid my mate looked holding the door open and how stupid i must have looked squeezing myself in on my hands and knees lol. My mate couldnt care less about how stupid he looked and as he kept pointing out we didnt miss the tube at the end of the day.
Not recently ... but I was travelling with a friend on a packed tube (near Bank somewhere) ...there were 2 people doing sign language, and my friend said if he knew sign language he'd tell them to shut up ...
