Crikey. For the last year or so my local spoons has been selling my session ale for £1.99.( Doombar) They are giving it away. Cheapest Doombar I found on the Isle of Wight two weeks ago was £4.
Nearly 1515 and sun well over the yardarm. Time for a few of my daily tinctures. I don't expect my local to reduce it's price. The beer has been cheap as chips for ages. £2.29 Abbot, £1.79 Puddles, All guest ales ,£2.15, Kronenbourg £2.99.Cheers. C u later. :-)
I admire the man's business acumen, he's consistently aligned the Wetherspoons brand with Brexit and has obviously built a marketing strategy around it.
No price cut in my spoons but I wasn't surprised. As posted earlier, any cheaper and it would be charity. There is a poster advertising 20% off everything in a forthcoming day. Tim Martin has an annual protest at VAT on hospitality in the drinks and catering trade.
